New Candidates Needed! At least two Board members and one BCC member will not run for re-election. To give the members a real choice, we need many new candidates.

What Does the Work on the Board and the BCC Entail?

The Board takes care of the vision of the TYPO3 Association. Furthermore, the Board is part of the Supervisory Board of the TYPO3 GmbH.

The BCC works to increase transparency. It manages budgets and the application and contracting process. In addition, it monitors the TYPO3 Association's activities and finances to secure confidence and trust in both the processes and elected bodies of the TYPO3 Association.

Find out more about roles and responsibilities on the Board and the BCC on the Fields of Responsibility page.

The average time commitment for a role on the Board is up to four hours per week. For the BCC, it is one to two hours per week.

Why You Should Nominate Yourself

You don’t have to be a developer or software engineer to hold a position on the Board or BCC. If you are a dedicated member of the community and have a vision for the future of TYPO3, you will be valuable to the team.

We are currently in a phase to rethink the vision, mission, and purpose of the TYPO3 project, the TYPO3 Association, and the TYPO3 service company. If you want to shape the future of TYPO3 actively, we need you!

A breadth of work and life experience means the Board and BCC can represent the whole community and make representative decisions to govern TYPO3 and its ecosystem.

Do you feel like you can’t commit the time required? Don’t let that deter you! Everyone has to start somewhere, and new members will be helped up in small steps and according to their own availability. The more experienced members will help you learn the ropes and get familiar with the position.

Who Can Get Elected?

Starting from today and until 14 March 2023, anyone can nominate themselves. Please use only the official nomination form to submit your nomination:

If you are not yet a member of the TYPO3 Association, participating in this election is a great and exciting motivation to do so!
